Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen's first assistant for the past fourteen years and now head of the brand, blew the critics and fashionlovers (including me) away with the gorgeous spring 2011 collection. (See pictures below). Various shades of yellow/gold, black & white kept coming back in the collection.
The clothes, or better, the pieces of art, where all cut in the well known McQueen-shape. Angular, but still soft. The  brand which didn't let us down either, was Burberry Prorsum. The wide variety of dresses and jackets in what I would describe as "nightclub style" were feminin, but with a raw edge. Main materials: Leather & metallic fabrics. The appearence of the leopard print was suprising, but it works!
Some other of my favourite spring collections: Christian Dior (welcome back sailor-style!) and Celine (Classic and straighforward collection, lots of blue and white).
